The British Truck Racing Championship is delighted to announce that several popular weekend awards will return this season, starting at the series’ next event at Thruxton on May 16-17.

Designed to bring fans closer to the action, showcase a number of the championship’s valued partners and shine a spotlight on teams and drivers, these new accolades will see the battle for supremacy on-track go beyond race wins and podiums.

One of the biggest awards to be introduced is the TotalKare Driver of the Weekend, which will be a weekend-long honour that will take into consideration the fortunes of drivers across qualifying and the races.

Following the final race of each weekend, Truck Sport UK will shortlist five drivers that they deemed have produced standout performances. The final decision will then be handed to the fans as they vote on social media for their weekend winner.

Overtaking will be celebrated for a second successive season as the Hardest Charger Award returns, this time with the support of MV Commercial and Fruehauf.

The MV Commercial/Fruehauf Hardest Charger Award will be bestowed upon the driver that completes the most progress from their starting position of each race. Their progress they make across the weekend’s races will be combined, with the driver at the top being declared the winner.

This, along with the NYR Fastest Lap of the Weekend will be handed out to the top driver in both Division 1 and Division 2.

The NYR Fastest Lap of the Weekend is somewhat self explanatory, with the overall fastest lap time in any of the races being celebrated.

These three awards will join the new-for-2026 Paddock Team Award, which is backed by Rydam Universal and designed to celebrate the efforts of mechanics. Milwaukee have since underlined their commitment to excellence by providing the winning team at each event with a prize.
