Division 2 outfit Jake Evans Trucksport were the latest recipients of the Rydam Universal Team of the Weekend Award after producing a valiant fightback in the British Truck Racing Championship at Snetterton.
Evans arrived at the 2.97-mile circuit as the driver to beat in the class having finished on the podium in every race; however that came to an abrupt end at the Norfolk venue when mechanical misfortune struck on Friday.
Forced to sit out qualifying, race one and race two on Saturday, Evans’ team worked tirelessly to rectify the issue on his MAN TGX and they were rewarded by not only making it out on-track on Sunday, but also by Jake claiming a pair of podium finishes.
Launched by series partners Rydam Universal for the 2026 season, the award is designed to recognise the efforts of mechanics and team members – all of who are often the unsung heroes of each round.
As part of their prize, the Jake Evans Trucksport team were also presented with a product from fellow championship sponsors, Milwaukee Tools and Northside.
