Team Collett Truck Racing has confirmed that Terry Gibbon will drive for the team at the next round of the 2026 British Truck Racing Championship season.

Series veteran Richard Collett – who claimed a popular victory at Brands Hatch back in April – is currently recovering from major surgery, where he had his his pancreas, gallbladder and duodenum removed.

Making steady recovery at  St James Hospital in Leeds, Collett is ruled out of action until at least Snetterton in July, meaning a replacement is required for the upcoming rounds at Pembrey.

Boasting an impressive resume in the sport, Gibbon is no stranger to the sport having enjoyed successful runs in both the British Truck Racing Championship and Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship.

Depending on how Collett’s recovery plays out, Gibbon could continue beyond the third meeting of the year.

“Having had to have an operation to remove his pancreas, gallbladder and duodenum the Monday after Thruxton, Richard is making steady progress on the road to recovery in St James Hospital Leeds,” read a team statement.

“He would like to thank everyone for the best wishes received from family, friends and sponsors and hopes to see everyone back out in the truck later in the year.”
