The British Truck Racing Championship is delighted to announce that it is welcoming Rydam Universal Ltd as the series’ official race wheel supplier for the remainder of the 2025 season and beyond.

In what promises to be an exciting new partnership, Rydam will supply wheels under its Solid X Racing brand to all competing drivers and teams, whilst also working closely with Giti Tires and Truck Sport UK.

The company – founded by John and Jackie Green in 1986 – has enjoyed a longstanding association with the sport having previously sponsored teams such as Collett Truck Racing, MV Commercials, Reid Trucksport and Jock Borthwick Racing.

Originally operating as a vehicle recovery and heavy haulage specialist across Europe, Rydam Universal Ltd has evolved into a specialist in supplying vehicles, plant equipment and parts – making them one of the go-to suppliers within the industry.

Constantly striving to bring new innovative products to their vast customer base, alloy wheels have become one of the brand’s leading items and now they are set to bring their expertise to the UK’s biggest motor racing championship.

Steve Thomas, Truck Sport UK Director, said: “We are over the moon to welcome Rydam Universal Ltd into the British Truck Racing Championship family.

“We’ve always cherished our loyal and long-term relationships with our very specific and carefully chosen partners, and we look forward to Rydam Universal joining that illustrious group.

“Within the industry they are a much admired and trusted company throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, and we are looking forward to what will be a hugely successful partnership.”

John Green, Rydam Universal Ltd Founder, added: “Both myself and Jackie were at Donington Park in 1984 for the UK’s very first truck race and ever since then we’ve had a vested interest in the sport.

“To see how the British Truck Racing Championship has grown in stature in recent years is a testament to the hard-working team that is behind running the series, and the valued commercial partners they already have.

“Joining that list is the start of a thrilling chapter for us and we look forward to playing our part in driving the sport further forward. Getting to showcase who we are and what we do to a new audience is also something we’re hugely excited about.”
