The battle for supremacy in Division 2 of the British Truck Racing Championship has gone down to the wire in each of the past two years; and the 2026 edition has all the makings of potentially doing the same.

Returning with a stellar line-up that includes champions and challengers, Brands Hatch is poised to set the tone for what should be another rollercoaster campaign that is packed with thrills and spills.

Jake Evans capped off a sensational debut season last year by claiming title glory and the MAN driver is back to defend his crown this term.

Donning the mantel of being the defending champion, the talented racer will look to go back-to-back – although he is set to face stiff opposition from a wealth of contenders.

One driver that will be eager to make their mark at their home circuit is 2024 title winner John Powell. After a challenging year in Division 1, the DAF driver is back in the familiar surroundings of Division 2 – and he’ll be hoping to be fast out of the blocks.

WDE Motorsport’s Callum Eason came oh-so close to winning the title last year and having hit the reset button over the winter, his target is clear – to go one better than he did in 2025.

The Brands Hatch opener last year saw Simon Cole hit the ground running and the Kent racer, along with his son Archie Handy, will be hoping to do the same again in his new look Cole Trucksport Iveco.

Elsewhere, Finnish star Sami Ojanen will return for a second successive season, albeit at the wheel of a Mercedes, whilst Weaver Motorsport have expanded their operation to now run two trucks for Bradley Harvey and Warren Harvey.
