Richard Collett Truck Racing has confirmed that it will not compete in the British Truck Racing Championship at Le Mans this weekend.

The decision to sit out the annual trip to France has been made to allow driver Richard Collett further time to return to full fitness after undergoing major surgery back in May.

Collett was a race winner during the opening weekend of the season at Brands Hatch and also competed at Thruxton before then moving to the sidelines.

In his absence, Terry Gibbon has made multiple appearances in his place and was a winner at Pembrey. Simon Faulkner also got behind the wheel of the #95 machine at Snetterton.

While the team will not race at Le Mans, the current plan is for Collett to make a triumphant return to action at next month’s season finale at Brands Hatch.

“Sadly Richard Collett Truck Racing will not be on track at the world famous Le Mans circuit this weekend,” read a team statement.

“With Richard hoping to make a full return to racing for the finale at Brands hatch, the team have invested heavily into truck modification and development.

“With things looking very promising, hopefully Richard can get back behind the wheel for one final time in 2026 before the start of our 2027 campaign next year, where we look to push hard from the first green light in April.”

Despite the team not having a direct involvement in the action, several members of the squad will be in attendance at Le Mans as they offer up their support to Division 2 outfit Weaver Motorsport.
