Ten-time champion Stuart Oliver back for more in 2024

Ten-time title winner Stuart Oliver will embark on another season in the British Truck Racing Championship this year, spearheading his own Team Oliver Racing squad. 

Regarded by many as one of the most successful truck racing drivers of all-time, Oliver – who also has an FIA European Truck Racing Championship to his name – will line up on the grid for 2024 in his striking Volvo VNL.

Oliver was a dominant force in the British series during the turn of the millennium however he has had to play second fiddle to Ryan Smith in recent years, often emerging as the closest challenger to the reigning champion.

With his sights set on lifting what would be a historic 11th championship in the UK, the Hexad-born racer is eager to reclaim the throne, although he admits it won’t be easy.

“I’m as hungry as ever to win races and more importantly, win the championship,” Oliver stated. “I absolutely love this championship so to be back for another year is just fantastic; especially as it as competitive as ever.

“Ryan has been a real force in recent years but we’ve managed to take the fight to him in multiple occasions. During the off-season we’ve made plenty of improvements to the truck so the hope is that we can hit the ground running when the green light goes out at the end of next month.”

Brands Hatch will stage the opening weekend of the new season on the 31 March/1 April.
