Paul Rivett targeting Division 2 glory with NAPA Racing UK

Paul Rivett has stated his intentions to capture Division 2 glory in the 2023 British Truck Racing Championship after inking a deal that will see him return to the series on a full-time basis with NAPA Racing UK.

Coming off the back of an impressive debut performance at Convoy in the Park in 2022, the NAPA-Rivett partnership has been cemented with a return that is centred around an all-out push for title glory at the wheel of a DAF.

Best known for his exploits in the Renault UK Clio Cup – where he was crowned champion on no less than four occasions – Rivett is no stranger to the BTRC having previously finished in third place back in 2019.

“What an exciting year we get to look forward to joining forces with NAPA Racing UK and Tachosys in the British Truck Racing Championship,” Rivett said. “It’s a great privilege to join such excellent brands in this year’s title challenge.

“I can’t wait to get started at Brands Hatch on Easter weekend and my sights are firmly set on Division 2 title for 2023!”

Fabiana Ferraro, NAPA Brand Manager, added: “We are thoroughly delighted to bring NAPA Truck into the NAPA Racing family. After the excitement we had at Convoy in the Park, we’re pleased to be able to welcome back Paul Rivett as our driver.

“With the rapid launch of our commercial parts brand, NAPA Truck, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase the brand and take it to new heights, as previously done with NAPA Racing in the BTCC.”

The 2023 British Truck Racing Championship campaign commences during the Easter weekend – April 8/9 – at Brands Hatch.
