Giti Tire to continue keeping the BTRC wheels turning in 2023

The British Truck Racing Championship is delighted to announce that Giti Tire will continue as the series’ official tyre partners for the 2023 season.

Building on the successful partnership that was forged last year, the Singapore-based company will once again provide all Division 1 and Division 2 competitors with tyres for the entire campaign.

All trucks will exclusively run the Giti Race-Tuned V1 global competition truck compound in sizes 315/70R22.5 at all seven events this year.

In addition to providing tyres, Giti will also have a presence at each race meeting with its race support team; who will be on hand to assist teams and drivers with everything from fitting to advice.

Ranked among some of the top tyre companies – in terms of both size and revenue – Giti Tire offers a complete range of quality tires to over 130 countries around the world.

Martin Gibson, Giti Tire European Test Manager, said: “We are really pleased to begin our fifth year of involvement in the British Truck Racing Championship, which is going from strength to strength.

“The Giti Race-Tuned V1 has proven to be ideally suited to the BTRC, due to its performance and reliability. We monitor the race tires very closely and feed information back to R&D, which helps us further develop our commercial tyres. The BTRC is a proving ground like no other and is something worth learning from.

“As a company we have an environmental responsibility so we are also working together with Truck Sport UK to research how to reduce the impact of truck racing and develop second life options. This is a key topic in truck racing and something that we are committed to support.”
