Simon Cole makes Division 2 IVECO switch for Donington Park

Simon Cole has confirmed that he will compete at the next round of the British Truck Racing Championship at Doningt0n Park, however it will now be in Division 2 and at the wheel of an IVECO.

Returning to full-time competition with his Cole Trucksport squad and an MAN TGS, the popular Kent has endured a character-building Division 1 season up to now with mechanical issues hampering his chances of a strong result at a majority of the rounds.

Having originally been unsure on whether he would be able to compete at Convoy in the Park in less than two weeks’ time, Cole has now secured a new set of wheels and is now set to battle for honours in a class he is familiar with.

“We are pleased to announce that the team are returning to Donington in August,” read a statement on the team’s social media channels.

“Simon will be behind the wheel of an IVECO in Division 2 of the British Truck Racing Championship. This is a sideways step for the team but we are very excited with this development and what the near future brings.
