The fight for the Division 2 crown in the British Truck Racing Championship will go down to the wire at Brands Hatch this weekend (October 31-November 1) as Callum Eason and Jake Evans prepare to go head-to-head for title glory.
A year ago, the pair fought tooth and nail for championship honours at the Kent venue with Evans eventually coming out on top. Given that there is very little separating the pair, the expectation is we could be in for another grandstand finish.
Unlike last year it is Eason that leads the way as he chases after what would be a maiden truck title. The WDE Motorsport endured a sluggish start to the season at Brands Hatch back in April but since then he has been firing on all cylinders.
Tallying a total of 14 wins and eight podiums, the second-generation racer has become the full package this term and he will arrive at the Indy circuit holding a 16-point advantage over his arch rival Evans.
Bidding to secure back-to-back crowns, Evans has been just as impressive too with his 13 wins and eight podiums putting within striking distance of Eason. Crucially, he arrives with momentum on his side having won all four races at Le Mans last time out.
Like they were in 2025, the pair have proven to be inseparable this year and with every point and position set to be crucial, the gloves are set to come off.
While Eason and Evans will be targeting title glory, Division 2 will also see a number of other drivers bidding to make their mark in front of an expected capacity crowd.
Former champion John Powell would dearly love to snare another race win, while the Weaver Motorsport father-son duo of Warren Harvey and Bradley Harvey will be eager to take on starring roles.
Another father-son pairing, Simon Cole and Archie Handy, will also hope to make home advantage count as they bid to finish with a flurry. Handy in particular will be one to watch having twice stood on the podium at Le Mans.
Five blockbuster British Truck Racing Championship races will close out an unforgettable 2026 season and while fireworks are advertised for Sunday night, expect to see plenty of them fly when these mighty machines hit the track.
