Reigning Division 2 champion Paul Rivett is set to make a triumphant return to the British Truck Racing Championship at Thruxton on July 6/7.
The NAPA Racing UK driver was forced to sit at the previous meeting at Pembrey due to sustaining a broken ankle, with British Touring Car Championship driver Sam Osborne being drafted in to replace him.
Rivett dominated the season-opener at Brands Hatch as he powered his way to a clean sweep of race wins, one of which was an overall victory after he mastered challenging wet conditions.
Having led the standings after the opening event, Rivett’s championship aspirations took a hit in South Wales virtue of being absent from the grid. Heading to the fastest circuit in the country next weekend, the multiple Renault Clio Cup title winner sits fourth in the standings.
