The British Truck Racing Championship is pleased to announce the addition of several new awards that drivers will compete for at each race meeting, starting this weekend at Pembrey Circuit.
In-line with providing even more exposure for the valued partners and sponsors that support the UK’s biggest motor racing series, the bragging rights of three coveted awards will be fought over during the course of a race weekend moving forward.
It is worth confirming that these new awards will not come with any additional championship points other than what is already confirmed in the 2025 Sporting Regulations. All awards will be showcased through striking visuals across official social media channels.
The first award will now see drivers in Division 1 and Division 2 respectively duke it out for the coveted Giti Pole Position Award in qualifying on Saturday morning.
Overtaking will now be celebrated even further as the driver that makes up the most positions over the course of a race weekend will be crowned the Silvey Fleet / BWOC Hardest Charger.
Finally, the incredible BTRC fanbase will now be able to have their say by voting for their NAPA Autoparts / Valvoline Driver of the Weekend.
Following the fifth and final race, fans will be welcomed to vote for their driver of the weekend on a dedicated post on the official BTRC Facebook page. The vote will close at midnight on Sunday evening and the driver with the most votes will then be declared the winner.
All sponsors and partners will be showcased over the course of the season, so expect the name of each award to change on a meeting-by-meeting basis.
