NAPA Racing UK have confirmed that they will not compete at the penultimate British Truck Racing Championship meeting at Le Mans on September 28/29.
The decision to miss the series’ highly-anticipated trip to France comes off the back of reigning Division 2 champion Paul Rivett suffering an engine failure at Snetterton this past weekend.
Rivett paced the opposition in qualifying to clinch pole position at the Norfolk venue and looked on course to win race one before his MAN TGX came to an abrupt halt with motor issues.
Frustratingly, Rivett would withdraw from the Snetterton meeting and given the limited amount of time to rebuild the engine before teams begin heading to France, the NAPA-backed outfit have elected to sit out the next event.
Work will now begin to ensure that the team returns for the season finale at Brands Hatch on November 2/3.
