This year’s visit to Donington Park for Convoy in the Park on August 10-11 will see one additional piece of silverware up for grabs; the ‘Donington Truck Racing – 40th Anniversary Cup’.
Marking four decades of the truck titans providing edge-of-the-seat entertainment at the Leicestershire venue, a one-off trophy will be on the line for all drivers that are competing in the British Truck Racing Championship, as well as the International Truck Prix.
The accolade will be awarded to the driver and/or team that has both performed and presented themselves in an outstanding manner during the event.
Key criteria in deciding the overall winner will be based on the points that are accumulated across both days; in essence the highest scoring driver within four of the five BTRC results and the highest points scoring driver from the four International Truck Prix contests.
If the final result was a tie, elements such as team presentations and fastest laps would be brought into consideration.
