David Jenkins confirms spot on 2024 BTRC grid

Former champion David Jenkins will feature on the British Truck Racing Championship grid this year after confirming that he will be getting back behind the wheel of his MAN TGX.

Regarded by many as one of the most successful drivers to compete across the championship’s illustrious history, Jenkins will embark on yet another campaign in the action-packed series – and he’s likely to be in the mix for outright honours.

Featuring in the title battle over the course of the past few seasons, last year saw Jenkins chalk up two wins on his way to a top three finish overall.

“It’s been a busy time for us these past few months but I’m excited to be able to announce that we’ll be returning to the championship for another year,” said Jenkins.

“I was an eight-year-old when I went to my first truck racing event and now I’m 48 and still loving it all just as much! The sport is in my blood and I couldn’t imagine not doing it. We’ve got some existing and new sponsors joining us this year which is really fantastic.

“Everyone supporting us has been working extremely hard and for that I’m thankful. In terms of our goals it’s quite simple; we’re going to enjoy our racing, get some wins and then we’ll see where that puts us in the points.”

The 2024 British Truck Racing Championship kicks off at Brands Hatch across the Easter Bank Holiday weekend on March 31/April 1.
