The British Truck Racing Championship is delighted to today (March 16) announce FleetSafe as its official camera and speed monitoring partners for the forthcoming 2026 season.
Working alongside Truck Sport, the British Automobile Racing Club and governing body Motorsport UK, the global technology company will supply, configure and provide ongoing support for all upgraded camera and monitoring systems.
In addition, FleetSafe will also deliver structured training and operational guidance for officials and events teams at all seven race meetings this year. Each and every competitor across Division 1 and Division 2 will have their trucks fitted with FleetSafe equipment.
The changes that FleetSafe will bring into the UK’s biggest motor racing championship are intended to improve the quality of evidence that is captured, reduce ambiguity in incident review and provide a more robust audit trail from capture through to decision-making.
With broader changes being implemented to modernise how the sport is run, including stronger governance and updated digital systems that support fair and safe competition, this collaboration is one that future proofs the championship.
“We’re delighted to welcome FleetSafe into the British Truck Racing Championship family,” said Steve Thomas, Truck Sport Director.
“It is clear that the experience and expertise that the FleetSafe team have demonstrated in elevating the camera and telematics business on the road, so it’s only right that we now harness that and bring it to the track.
“In conjunction with the BARC and Motorsport UK, this is seismic addition to the championship and we’re confident that it will have the desired effect both on and off the track.”
Dean Leonard, VP of Technical Operations at Fleet Safe, added:“Motorsport depends on trust in the rules and the way they’re applied.
“This partnership is about raising the bar on the tools and the operational discipline around them, so competitors and organisers have greater confidence in the data, the review process and the outcome.”
Changes that competitors and organisers can expect from FleetSafe are outlined fully below:
- Upgraded regulation camera hardware and mounting standards to improve coverage and usability
- Improved speed monitoring and reporting workflow aligned to event operations
- Clearer chain-of-custody for footage and data to support transparent decision-making
- Training and on-event support to help teams operate equipment consistently
- Faster access to relevant clips and data during reviews, helping reduce delays
- Full on-site FleetSafe personal support.
