Road To The Finale: Thruxton – Rounds 11-15

As the British Truck Racing Championship heads towards its season finale at Brands Hatch, we’re taking a look back on the action that has unfolded at each round – all of which has contributed towards setting up what is a tantalising title showdown on November 1-2.

Following an abundance of thrills and spills at Brands Hatch and Pembrey, the UK’s biggest motor racing series next headed to the fastest circuit in the country, Thruxton, for the third event of the 2025 campaign in July.

Befitting of its popularity, a mammoth crowd flocked to the high-speed Hampshire venue to witness the heavyweight behemoths and they weren’t to be left disappointed either.

In Division 1, the battle for supremacy at the top of the standings reached fever pitch as five different drivers – Ryan Smith, Stuart Oliver, Tom O’Rourke, David Smith and John Bowler – each walked away with a race win apiece to their name.

Division 2 saw just as much excitement play out as Simon Cole guided his striking pink and white Iveco to a hat-trick of race wins before Weaver Motorsport’s Bradley Harvey scored a feel-good breakthrough brace.

Crucially, the complexion of the standings changed in Division 2 at Thruxton as engine failure in free practice for Jake Evans sidelined him for the rest of the weekend. His demise meant that Harvey walked away with the points lead ahead of Cole and Eason.

Oliver continued to sit atop the standings in Division 1 although an impressive outing from defending champion Ryan Smith had allowed him to cut the deficit to just 11 points.
