Bradley Harvey aiming to lay solid foundations in debut year

Bradley Harvey has outlined that he aims to lay down solid foundations in his debut British Truck Racing Championship season this year.

Racing under the Weaver Motorsport banner, Harvey will embark on his maiden campaign of truck racing this year in Division 2 having acquired the DAF that powered John Powell to the 2024 crown.

Despite this being Harvey’s first taste of competitive racing, he arrives at the championship boasting a wealth of experience within the haulage industry.

“I’ve worked on trucks for all of my working life,” said Harvey. “With the help of my Dad we bought two of our two trucks in 2013 and then two years later Weaver Haulage was born. We’ve since grown the fleet to 100+ tractor units and 150 trailers.”

Explaining how the opportunity to join the series came about, he continued: “In 2023 I started to watch and follow Dave Jenkins; the connection was there because we trailers off of Dave’s brother. Then last year we started to supply transport for Dave and we caught the bug.

“With John Powell selling his title-winning Division 2 truck I saw it as the perfect opportunity to jump into it. I’m delighted to announce that HGV Direct will be our main sponsors so the truck will be easy to spot in those traditional yellow colours – it’s very exciting!”

Looking ahead to the forthcoming campaign, Harvey has outlined he’s treating 2025 as the building blocks for what he hopes will be a successful year in 2026.

“This season is all about learning the tracks and making the truck my own,” he commented. “Then that will hopefully set up us to bring home some trophies next year.”

Brands Hatch provides the setting for the opening rounds of the 2025 British Truck Racing Championship on April 19-20.
