Nearly two months on from serving up a blockbuster spectacle at Pembrey, the British Truck Racing Championship speeds back into action this weekend (July 8/9) to headline Convoy on the Plain at Thruxton.
However, before the titans of truck racing descend on the high-speed Hampshire venue, here’s the full guide to make sure you don’t miss any of the action from the third event of the 2023 season:
ENTRY LIST
This weekend’s 18-driver entry list has seen a small shake-up with there now being 13 entrants in Division 1 and six in Division 2.
Unfortunately, Jock Borthwick suffered a number of injuries in a road motorcycle accident in June which has resulted in him being ruled out from competing on medical grounds.
Whilst Division 1 are now one driver lighter than usual, Division 2 has a new addition in the shape of Neil Yates, who will make his championship bow at the wheel of an ex-Steven Powell DAF CF.
Following on from Pembrey, seven-time reigning champion Ryan Smith continues to hold a slender advantage at the summit of the Division 1 standings whilst Adam Bint is the driver to beat in the Division 2 rankings.
You can view the full championship standings – as well as the other runners and riders – ahead of this weekend HERE.
CONVOY ON THE PLAIN
Returning for another year, Convoy on the Plain promises to be bigger and better than ever this time around – and a bumper crowd is expected to flock trackside to soak up all there is on offer.
Whilst a packed 20-race schedule makes up the on-track entertainment, away from the track will be attractions such as Transformers, Monster Truck Rides, Show Trucks, Live Music and much, much more.
Head to the Convoy website to find out more HERE.
