The British Truck Racing Championship made a flying start to the 2022 season both on and off the track at Brands Hatch earlier this month with it being confirmed that the event has amassed more than 100,000 views online.
As part of the British Automobile Racing Club’s broadcast deal with leading independent production company 247.TV, select race meetings are live streamed via the Club’s Facebook and YouTube channels over the course of the season – including every BTRC round.
Competing alongside a number of other championship during the Easter bank holiday weekend at the Kent venue, Saturday’s on-track action garnered more than 50,000 views on YouTube whilst in excess of 51,000 tuned in to watch Sunday’s.
Boasting full production values, Dave Goddard provided commentary for all five frenetic races on the Indy circuit whilst Pointy brought all the latest news and reaction from the paddock throughout each day.
The sensational viewing figures means that the championship’s drivers, teams, sponsors and partners are being showcased in front of a global audience; and it’s only set to continue as the season progresses.
Pembrey – which provides the next stop on the BTRC calendar as part of Convoy Cymru on May 7/8 – will see the next live stream take place.
